Why Amped Electric Games Launched a National Series for Onewheel Racing

Onewheel has always raced at Amped

Onewheel racing was part of Amped Electric Games from the start. Its first three editions awarded Onewheel podiums alongside electric unicycle racing. In 2024, Amped hosted the Onewheel Underground finals in Bentonville, Arkansas, on the Castle trails at Slaughter Pen.

The 2025 event did not include Onewheel racing. In 2026, it came back to Bentonville as part of something larger.

From one weekend to a national title

USA FLT launched on April 16, 2026, as the national Onewheel sanctioning body. It covers Onewheels and VESC boards, and it awards points toward a national leaderboard that ranks athletes on consistency, performance and adaptability across terrain and race categories.

"Onewheel riding has evolved rapidly from small community rides into a legitimate action sport with real competition, skilled athletes, and serious fan momentum," said Seth Johnson, Founder, USA FLT; Organizer, Amped Electric Games. "Launching USA FLT is the next step forward, creation of a unified structure where riders can test their limits, develop as athletes, and compete for a national title."

Two national series, one partner

USA FLT sits in the Amped Electric Games LLC portfolio alongside USA EUC (the national sanctioning body for electric unicycle racing), eRideLife (lithium fire safety) and The Electric Angels (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit). Read why Amped built USA EUC.

With both series under one company, Amped now runs a national championship in both Onewheel and electric unicycle racing. Some sanctioned events, including Amped Electric Games and Wheel Life Rally, host both. For a brand, that means a series-level partnership can reach both rider communities across the season, alongside the sponsorships each organizer offers at their own event.

What USA FLT offers partners

Like USA EUC, USA FLT gives sponsors, brands, venues and media a season-long structure to attach to:

  • An official national points ranking that ties each event to the season.
  • Standardized rules and professional timing standards, so results compare across venues.
  • Divisions for multiple skill levels, from emerging athletes to professionals.
  • Formats built for the board, including off-road racing and guided excursion events that show what Onewheels and VESC boards can do on varied terrain.

How sanctioning works

Every event on the USA EUC and USA FLT calendars is owned and run by its own organizer. Sanctioning connects those events to a national series: shared rules, timing standards and a points ranking that carries across the season. Amped Electric Games supports sanctioned events with marketing, media and promotion, so each organizer's event reaches a national audience. The events belong to the people who build them.

The 2026 season

The 2026 calendar has seven sanctioned events, each run by its own organizer. It opened in April at Lemonade Float Fest X Amped Electric Games in Burnet, Texas, and ran through Amped Electric Games in Bentonville on October 1-4. That weekend brought the first USA FLT sanctioned Onewheel racing to Bentonville, on the Thunder Dome and the Lorax trail at Applegate.
